THE KUROZHEN STORY
Where a home comes alive
The kitchen is where a home comes alive. It is where meals begin, conversations run late and people naturally gather.
That feeling is at the heart of KuroZhen. We believe cooking should be one of the week's pleasures, whether you are making dinner with your partner, settling into a new home or trying a recipe for the first time.
At the center of it is the knife. A good knife becomes the tool you reach for every day and one you are proud to own.
Our name reflects that idea. Kuro is Japanese for black, a colour associated in Japan with restraint, depth and luxury. Zhen is Chinese for precious and rare: something worth treasuring.
Our knives are crafted in Yangjiang, a city with more than 1,400 years of knife-making heritage. We work with established manufacturers and carefully select each range for its steel, construction and performance, creating knives suited to different cooks and kitchens.
We want a KuroZhen knife to feel like a gift, whether it was chosen for you or you chose it yourself. That experience begins the moment the box opens.
We hope you enjoy using your knives as much as we enjoy making them.
